Charter Fishing in Prince Rupert

Chinook Salmon (KING)

Chinooks are the largest of the 5 species of Pacific Salmon. The Chinook Salmon lures anglers from all over the world. You can expect to encounter these "Bad Boys" late April through early August. These fish can weigh an average of 25 - 40 pounds and can reach weights up to 100 pounds. Even the most experienced fisherman will have a battle to remember. The Chinook (King) makes Prince Rupert and surrounding areas their feeding grounds as they migrate to the well-known headwaters of the Nass & Skeena Rivers.

Coho Salmon (Silver)

Coho Salmon show up in late June increasing in size and abundance well into September.  Their hard hitting aggressive behavior, acrobatic displays and non-stop action make this fish an excellent target for both the novice and experienced sport fisherman.  Pound for pound (averaging 10-18 pounds) these fish will give you the fun and excitement every angler is looking for.  Late season (September) Northern Coho can reach weights up to 25 pounds.  Coho fishing will bring enjoyment for the entire family or fisherman alike.  Other species of salmon, which make the North Coast waters their home, include Chum, Sockeye and Pink Salmon.

Halibut is the largest of the game fish you will encounter in the waters off our North Coast.  This tasty fish averages 25 - 50 pounds but can reach weights of up to 450 pounds.  Halibut are available year round with the exception of January.  Their abundance increases in the months of May, June, July, August and September.  Ling Cod, Red Snapper (Yellow Eye) and rockfish are also available through out the summer.  If you're looking for food for your table or just a fish tale to tell, B.C.
